SPELLS

If you are here looking for actual spells, I'm sorry to disappoint you, because you will not find any here. What you will find here are my OPINIONS on spells. I call myself a witch, because I BELIEVE in the faith. I do practice divination, my preference is Tarot Cards (which will be added later), healing when times warrant it, and the worship of the God and Goddess. To be honest I stay away from spells, as I believe many wiccans do. The reason for this is that I do believe they work.
Personally I've done a few spells in my time and I've regretted quite a few of them. The reason for it is that when I first started out many many years ago, those were the most prevalent books you could find. I didn't find too many on the religious aspect of the craft. It's kind of like giving someone a loaded gun, and telling him how to shoot people, but not giving him the moral background to handle what he has. When people are angry they do a lot of stupid things, and with spells it's even worse. Legally it is not traceable, if you cast a spell on someone to do them harm or even kill them and an accident occurs, did your spell really come to pass?? and if it did, then no one can trace it to you because it was an accident. If you read the wiccan rede, you will see there are a few different versions of it, one in particular is "An' Harm ye none, do as ye will, except in the defense of kilth and kin.", so if you feel you or your family are in danger of being hurt in some way it is OK to perform a spell.
But now you have to ask yourself if what you are considering doing is really justified. Is it right to call down the powers of the God or Goddess (or within yourself, depending on your specific beliefs) to take out your revenge, or frustration out on someone else? Will you regret it later? Is it just your life's Karma catching up with you, or is whatever trouble you are facing just one of life's great teachers in disguise?
Personally I don't believe in sin. You can do whatever you like because we are here to do the will of the universe (God and Goddess, or whatever), you can do no wrong. But at the same time, you may not be doing what you should be doing, it's a gray area. You may be getting what you desire now, but in the end you may be taking the scenic route to the divine.
You can get spells out of many websites out there, and many different books. But not all of them inform you of the moral questions concerning spells. If you choose to do one, just pick one out of a book, or website, or even better yet make one up yourself. Follow correspondence charts for the right colors, herbs, gods/ goddess to use, every little thing you do to strengthen your spells (right time of the month, day, hour, etc), and above all else BELIEVE it will work, and it will. But even in something like a simple love spell or even healing, you are impressing your will on the divine, and on other people, even if you just wish very hard for something to happen you are still 'casting a spell'. Maybe that illness was a test for the person, or even a test for you on what you will do, so is it right to heal that person?? is it right to make yourself more attractive to someone you want to date, or just have intercourse with??
The Human race is above all others in the fact we can think and interpret things rationally as well as emotionally. I do believe there is a time and a place for spell casting, but chose your battles carefully.
